Wang Naidong


Born in Shanghai in 1946, he graduated from Xinjiang University with a degree in archaeology. He is a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, a second-class artist, and an independent calligraphy and painting appraiser. He has been appointed as a visiting researcher at the Institute of Calligraphy and Art of Peking University, a visiting professor at the Shanghai Institute of Arts and Crafts, the School of Art and Design of Shanghai Polytechnic University, and the School of Art and Design of Shenzhen University, and an academic advisor to the Guangzhou Art Products Trade Association.


In 1993, he held a solo exhibition of his calligraphy at the National Art Museum of China, and two pieces of his calligraphy were collected in the National Art Museum of China. He published "The Silk Road and Chinese Calligraphy: A Historical Outline of Western Calligraphy", "Chinese Calligraphy Ink and Monument Identification Dictionary", "The Complete Collection of Chinese Calligraphy "Yuanyang Pair" Identification", "Chen Chun's Calligraphy Authentication Guide", "Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Classification Identification Guide", "Chinese Calligraphy The Art of Cursive Calligraphy - A Collection of Wang Naidong's Calligraphy Works", "Wang Naidong's Calligraphy Collection", "Writing Oracle Bones" and other monographs, and "Practical Course on Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Authentication", a multimedia textbook for universities. His calligraphy works are collected by the National Art Museum of China and the Central Archives. He is currently a professor in the calligraphy elective course at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School and a lecturer in the calligraphy and calligraphy appraisal course at Yuanpei Academy in Shenzhen.
